Industrial-Grade Mild Steel Welding Consumables
[tab name='Benefits']
Washington Alloy offers a robust selection of mild steel welding wires engineered for high-volume manufacturing, structural steel erection, and heavy equipment fabrication. Our consumables are designed to provide maximum productivity through superior arc characteristics, minimal spatter, and consistent copper coating for optimal electrical conductivity. Whether utilizing solid wire for automated cells or flux-cored wire for field conditions, our products ensure the mechanical integrity required for AWS-compliant projects.
Solid Carbon Steel Wires (GMAW/GTAW)
Our solid wires are precision-drawn to ensure smooth feed ability and consistent chemistry, meeting the rigorous demands of industrial MIG and TIG applications.
- ER70S-6: Our most versatile carbon steel wire, featuring higher levels of deoxidizers (Manganese and Silicon) to handle light mill scale and provide a fluid puddle with excellent wetting.
- ER70S-2: A triple-deoxidized wire preferred for TIG welding and critical root passes, offering superior performance on killed, semi-killed, and rimmed steels.
- ER70S-3: An economical solution for clean base metals, providing high-quality welds in automotive and general sheet metal fabrication.
- Premium Copper Coating: Available on select grades to extend contact tip life and ensure stable arc starts in high-duty cycle environments.
Flux-Cored (FCAW) & Metal-Cored Solutions
Engineered for high-deposition rates, our flux-cored wires provide deep penetration and high-strength results in both shop and field environments.
- Gas-Shielded (E71T-1C/1M): Including the Eagle-Arc and Superflow series, these wires are optimized for all-position welding with excellent slag removal and low-fume generation.
- Self-Shielded / Gasless (E71T-11, E71T-GS): Designed for outdoor applications where shielding gas is impractical, providing reliable performance in wind-exposed conditions.
- Metal-Cored (E70C-6M): Combines the high deposition of flux-cored wire with the high efficiency of solid wire, ideal for heavy plate fabrication and robotic welding.
Specialized Mild Steel Electrodes
For manual applications, we provide a full range of stick electrodes including E6010, E6011, E6013, and E7018. Our Eagle Strike 7018+ is specifically engineered for low-hydrogen requirements and superior out-of-position performance.
